Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Northern New Jersey (On-site) $300,000 – $400,000 Position Overview A growing multi-state manufacturing and service organization is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead and scale its finance function. This role requires a hands-on, strategic leader who can bring structure, ownership, and forward-thinking financial leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong inventory and manufacturing finance experience, proven ability to build systems and processes, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset in a complex, multi-entity environment. Requirements 10+ years of senior finance leadership experience preferred Background in manufacturing and/or service-based companies Strong expertise in inventory management and cost accounting Experience operating across multiple states Proven ability to build and improve financial systems and processes Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability Experience managing and developing finance teams Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy Lead the overall financial strategy and planning of the company Partner with executive leadership on growth initiatives and decision-making Provide forward-looking insights to support scaling operations Oversee accounting, FP&A, AR, AP, and revenue cycle functions Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting Manage and optimize multi-state financial operations Implement and upgrade financial systems and reporting tools Build scalable processes to support continued growth Improve visibility into inventory, margins, and operational performance Lead and develop the existing finance team Drive accountability and a full ownership mindset across the department Oversee both onshore and offshore team members Must-Haves Financial Operations Systems & Process Improvement Team Management Manufacturing and/or inventory-heavy finance experience Strong systems and process-building background Experience in a multi-state business environment Proven ability to operate at a strategic and hands-on level Leadership experience managing finance teams Send your resume to: frimie@maiplacement.com
