Data Analyst – Business & Operations Analytics Newark, NJ Full-Time, Onsite Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 Description / Position Overview This role owns the full data lifecycle, from raw data sources through structured datasets to actionable insights that drive business decisions. The Data Analyst is responsible for building reliable data foundations, defining meaningful metrics, and delivering insights that improve performance across the organization. This role exists to ensure the business operates with clear, accurate, and decision-ready data in a fast-moving environment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong ownership, follow-through, and the ability to move work forward across teams without waiting for direction. Responsibilities Data Ownership & Analysis • Analyze data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement • Deliver clear, actionable insights that support business decision-making • Define and maintain key metrics that align with operational and business goals Data Quality & Reliability • Ensure accuracy and consistency across datasets and reporting systems • Identify data issues early, troubleshoot root causes, and implement fixes • Prevent recurring issues through structured data validation and monitoring Stakeholder Collaboration • Work closely with business and operational teams to understand data needs • Translate ambiguous requests into structured dashboards and reports • Proactively follow up across teams to ensure data projects move forward Reporting & Systems • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools • Support development of scalable data structures and reporting frameworks • Ensure data is accessible, usable, and aligned with business workflows Execution & Problem Solving • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Maintain strong organization and attention to detail across all workstreams • Take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion Success in This Role • Business decisions are supported by clear, accurate, and timely data • Data issues are identified early and resolved before impacting operations • Metrics are well-defined and consistently used across teams • Dashboards and reporting tools provide clear visibility into performance • Strong cross-functional alignment on data and insights Requirements • Experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role • Strong SQL skills with understanding of data structures and data flow • Ability to work with large datasets and extract meaningful insights • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capability • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams Must-Have Capabilities • Strong ownership mindset with ability to drive work independently • Ability to turn unclear business questions into structured data outputs • High attention to detail and data accuracy • Strong follow-through and execution across multiple stakeholders Nice-to-Haves • Experience with data warehousing concepts or modern data stacks • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) • Exposure to operations, logistics, or manufacturing environments Final Invitation to Apply If you are a data-driven operator who takes ownership, works with urgency, and knows how to turn data into clear, actionable insights, we’d like to hear from you.
