Bilingual Clinical Intake Specialist
Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Bilingual (Spanish) Clinical Intake Specialist to join our ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) organization. This role serves as the first clinical point of contact for families seeking services and plays a key role in assessing needs, coordinating care, and supporting access to services. This position is ideal for someone pursuing or planning to pursue an MSN, MSW, or related clinical degree, with opportunities for growth into a clinical or care coordination role within the organization. Key Responsibilities Clinical Intake & Assessment Conduct initial intake screenings with families to assess behavioral, developmental, and social needs Gather comprehensive psychosocial and medical histories Identify client needs and assist in determining eligibility for ABA and related services Communicate clinical information clearly to supervising clinicians (BCBAs, therapists, etc.) Client Coordination & Support Serve as a liaison between families, clinical staff, and administrative teams Guide families through the intake and onboarding process with empathy and professionalism Provide support, resources, and referrals when appropriate Maintain consistent follow-up to ensure timely service initiation Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential client records Ensure all intake documentation meets clinical and HIPAA compliance standards Enter data into EHR/CRM systems in a timely manner Insurance & Case Navigation Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes Help families understand coverage, benefits, and required documentation Coordinate with payers and internal teams to prevent delays in care Professional Development Participate in training related to ABA, behavioral health, and care coordination Gain exposure to clinical workflows, treatment planning processes, and interdisciplinary care Work toward growth into a clinical support or social work–aligned role Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish and English (required) Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, nursing, or related field (preferred or in progress) Interest in pursuing an MSN, MSW, or related clinical degree Experience in healthcare, ABA, intake coordination, or social services preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy Preferred Qualifications Experience in ABA or behavioral health settings Knowledge of insurance processes and care coordination Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR systems) Experience working with children and families
