We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and results‑driven Sales Manager to lead sales and client relationships at our Devon Avenue Chicago location.
Position Overview
This role is ideal for a Hebrew‑speaking sales professional or an experienced sales consultant with a working knowledge of Jewish customs and funeral traditions. The Sales Manager will serve families, funeral homes, and cemetery representatives by guiding them through the memorial selection process with sensitivity, expertise, and professionalism.
You will manage the full sales lifecycle—from consultation and design through order completion—while fostering strong long‑term relationships within the community.
Key Responsibilities
Serve families with empathy and professionalism during an important and sensitive time
Build and maintain trusted relationships with funeral directors, cemetery sextons, and community partners
Consult with customers to design and customize cemetery monuments in accordance with cemetery regulations and Jewish traditions
Create monument designs and inscriptions, incorporating Hebrew and/or English text as required
Accurately enter and manage sales orders in our proprietary ERP system, including materials, measurements, finishes, and designs
Follow up on active orders, collect payments, and ensure timely completion and delivery
Visit area cemeteries to verify inscriptions, match existing granite, take photographs, and perform rubbings as needed
Take ownership of the overall success of the Chicago showroom location
Qualifications & Experience
Hebrew language proficiency strongly preferred
Candidates who do not speak Hebrew must have a solid understanding of Jewish customs, traditions, and cemetery practices
Previous experience in retail, consultative, or commission‑based sales required
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Exceptional customer service skills with high emotional intelligence
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Proficient computer skills; ERP or SAP experience is a plus
Reliable attendance and professional demeanor
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission and bonus potential
Expected first‑year earnings: $70,000 – $85,000

Work Schedule
Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
