Bidding Specialist – Ground-Up Construction Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY $100,000 – $150,000 Description / Position Overview Large ground-up construction developer is seeking a Bidding Specialist to support and drive the subcontractor bidding process across major construction projects. This role exists to improve bid coverage, reduce scope gaps, tighten subcontractor coordination, and keep preconstruction moving efficiently across multiple active projects. The right candidate understands construction drawings, can manage bid flow across trades, stays highly organized under pressure, and knows how to keep subcontractors, proposals, and approvals moving without losing details. This is a fast-paced execution role for someone who operates with urgency, ownership, and strong follow-through. Responsibilities Bid Coordination & Trade Management • Own bidding coordination across subcontractor trades • Manage bid timelines, follow-ups, proposal tracking, and submission flow • Ensure strong subcontractor participation and competitive bid coverage • Drive accountability with subcontractors throughout bidding cycles Drawing & Scope Review • Review construction drawings, specifications, and scope packages • Identify missing scope items, inconsistencies, or bid gaps early • Ensure subcontractor proposals align with project requirements • Coordinate clarifications and revisions when needed Preconstruction Support • Prepare organized bid packages and approval documentation • Support estimators, project managers, and leadership teams during preconstruction • Maintain accurate bid records, communication logs, and documentation • Help improve structure, speed, and execution within the bidding process Requirements • Experience in construction bidding, estimating support, or preconstruction coordination • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications • Experience coordinating subcontractors across multiple trades • Strong organizational and follow-through skills • Ability to manage multiple active bids simultaneously • Comfortable operating in fast-paced construction environments • Strong communication and coordination abilities Must-Haves • Ground-up construction experience • Construction bidding experience • Ability to read construction drawings • Experience handling subcontractor bid coordination • Strong ownership and execution mindset Success Metrics Success in this role looks like: • Increased subcontractor participation and bid coverage • Reduced bid gaps and scope conflicts before project award • Faster turnaround on bid collection and approvals • Improved organization and tracking across active bids • Fewer missed deadlines and incomplete submissions • Strong coordination between subcontractors and internal teams Final Invitation to Apply If you know how to keep construction bidding organized, competitive, and moving forward across large projects — and you operate with strong ownership and urgency — this is an opportunity to join a fast-moving development team working on major ground-up construction projects.
