Obstetrics and Gynaecology Physician
A Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) to provide comprehensive, high-quality obstetric care. The ideal candidate is passionate about prenatal care, labor and delivery, and maternal-fetal well-being, and works collaboratively to support healthy pregnancies and positive childbirth outcomes. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive prenatal care, including initial assessments, routine visits, screenings, and monitoring of fetal development and maternal health. Counsel patients on prenatal nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle modifications. Diagnose and manage pregnancy-related complications (e.g., gestational diabetes, hypertension, preterm labor). Manage labor and delivery, including labor progression assessment, fetal monitoring, pain management, and obstetrical emergencies. Perform vaginal, instrumental (forceps/vacuum), and cesarean deliveries. Respond to obstetrical emergencies such as hemorrhage, fetal distress, and shoulder dystocia. Collaborate with anesthesia, neonatology, nursing staff, midwives, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists. Provide postpartum care, including recovery assessments, breastfeeding support, newborn care guidance, and management of postpartum complications. Perform obstetrical procedures including fetal ultrasounds, fetal monitoring, amniocentesis, external cephalic versions (ECV), and cerclage placement. Manage high-risk pregnancies and coordinate multidisciplinary care. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical colleagues throughout prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care. Qualifications: MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN. Active New York State medical license.
