Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
A prominent Medical Facility is seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality prenatal, labor, delivery, and postnatal care for women in a supportive and patient-centered environment. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive prenatal, labor, delivery, and postnatal care to expectant mothers, ensuring safe, personalized, and evidence-based care. Conduct routine health assessments, including physical exams, screenings, and laboratory tests. Provide education and counseling to expectant parents on pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care. Manage and monitor labor and delivery, including performing vaginal exams, administering medications, and assisting with the delivery process. Support and advocate for the patient’s birth plan while ensuring the health and safety of both mother and child. Collaborate with obstetricians, gynecologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Provide family planning and reproductive health counseling, including contraception and postnatal care. Ensure proper documentation of patient interactions, including medical history, assessments, and treatments in patient records. Stay current on midwifery practices, new treatments, and medical guidelines through continuous education. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families throughout the prenatal and postnatal journey. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program. Current certification as a Nurse Midwife (CNM) through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB). Valid state nursing license and CNM certification. Experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife, with expertise in obstetrics and gynecology. Strong clinical skills, with the ability to manage labor and delivery and provide patient care during complex situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, interdisciplinary setting. Knowledge of current midwifery practices, evidence-based care guidelines, and healthcare regulations. Salary: $150K Location: Rockland County
