Associate HR Director Location: Brooklyn, NY Salary: $120K Overview: Oversee all HR operations across Downstate locations, including full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and maintaining accurate, confidential HR records. Support employee engagement, training, policy updates, and HR process improvements. Responsibilities: Lead full-cycle recruitment (sourcing, interviews, references, offers, salary negotiations, metrics tracking). Manage onboarding, new hire orientation, probationary follow-up, and training coordination. Serve as HR advisor on employee relations, investigations, PIPs, conflict resolution, and quarterly check-ins. Oversee compensation discussions, salary benchmarking, and benefits inquiries. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; update policies and handbooks. Manage offboarding (terminations, exit interviews, access removal). Support internal communications, employee engagement initiatives, events, and HR projects. Qualifications: 4–5+ years progressive HR experience. Strong background in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance (NY preferred). Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills. High level of discretion and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
