A leading landscaping and land development company is seeking a Senior Civil 3D Drafter with extensive experience in land development to join their growing team. This role requires advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and the ability to oversee and mentor entry- to mid-level drafters. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, leadership, and a deep understanding of New Jersey land development standards and practices. Responsibilities: Lead the drafting and design of land development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Produce accurate plans, profiles, grading, stormwater management designs, and other civil site design elements. Mentor and provide guidance to a team of 3 entry- to mid-level drafters, ensuring quality and consistency in project deliverables. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to translate project requirements into detailed designs. Review and check drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with NJ regulations, permitting requirements, and industry standards. Assist with workflow optimization and standardization of drafting processes. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to streamline design and drafting efforts. Qualifications: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in land development drafting and design. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surface modeling, grading, corridors, alignments, and pipe networks. Strong knowledge of New Jersey land development regulations, standards, and permitting processes. Experience mentoring or supervising junior drafters is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with other design software (e.g., Civil 3D extensions, GIS software) Understanding of construction processes and field implementation Familiarity with stormwater management and environmental compliance requirements Salary: $100K+ Location: Lakewood, NJ
