Our client, a home product distribution company is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and manage all inbound international shipments. This role is responsible for coordinating with freight forwarders, negotiating pricing, consolidating shipments, tracking deliveries, and working closely with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective imports. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in international logistics and supply chain operations. Responsibilities: Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with freight forwarders and logistics providers Request, compare, and negotiate freight quotes and pricing for international imports Plan and coordinate international shipments from multiple countries Consolidate multiple shipments into single loads when possible to optimize cost and efficiency Track shipments from origin to final destination and proactively address delays or issues Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to schedule pickups, shipping timelines, and documentation Ensure all import documentation is accurate and compliant, including invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents Monitor shipping costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements Communicate shipment status and timelines with internal teams Resolve logistics issues, including delays, damages, or customs-related concerns Qualifications: Proven experience in logistics management, freight forwarding, or international shipping Strong understanding of import processes, shipping methods, and freight consolidation Experience negotiating rates and managing freight costs Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Proficiency with logistics systems, tracking tools, and spreadsheets Experience working with multiple international vendors and suppliers Knowledge of customs procedures and import compliance Background in supply chain or operations management Location: Bayonne NJ Salary: $130K
