Office Manager
Our client, a medical billing company, is seeking a strategic Office Manager with expertise in overseeing office operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a high-performing insurance billing department, optimizing claim submissions, solving operational challenges, and ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement from insurers. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the insurance billing department, overseeing both local and offshore teams responsible for filing insurance claims for medical supply reimbursements. Develop, implement, and refine billing workflows and procedures to ensure operational efficiency, accuracy, and timely payments. Monitor claims processes end-to-end, ensuring that rejections, denials, and appeals are handled with speed and precision. Collaborate closely with the finance department to ensure accurate revenue recognition and cash flow forecasting based on billing performance. Analyze billing trends and performance metrics to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation or optimization. Act as a subject matter expert on insurance billing regulations, compliance issues, and payer-specific guidelines. Investigate and resolve escalated issues or discrepancies in billing processes or claim submissions. Provide leadership, training, and performance management to internal and outsourced billing teams to maintain high standards and accountability. Qualifications: 3+ years experience in a leadership or manager-level role, overseeing insurance claims operations, experience in medical billing office is a plus. Proven experience managing both domestic and offshore teams, with a strong focus on team performance and quality assurance. Knowledge of DME (Durable Medical Equipment) billing procedures and payer-specific insurance claim submission requirements. Strong analytical skills with experience in workflow optimization, efficiency tracking, and data-driven process improvements. Proficiency in medical billing software and platforms, with the ability to oversee system implementation or integration projects. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and report effectively to finance and executive leadership. Adept at resolving complex billing issues, denials, and compliance-related challenges. Location: Brooklyn, NY Salary: $150K
