Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist
We are a financial services company that provides top notch fiscal support to the operation of skilled nursing facilities. Position Summary We are looking for an organized, motivated Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist for our group of skilled nursing facilities. This individual will be responsible for Accounts Receivable Billing related tasks for multiple FEINs and will own the full revenue cycle from billing through cash posting and accounts-receivable aging. As an Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for end-to-end revenue-cycle activities billing all payor types related to our skilled nursing facilities. Tasks include reviewing census data and authorizations, submitting claims, posting payments and adjustments, reviewing collections, monitoring and managing A/R agings, and resolving billing discrepancies. You will work with business office staff, conduct audits, ensure compliance, and actively manage receivables to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. Qualifications: Minimum 2–3 years of experience is a MUST in Healthcare Accounts Receivable Billing, with a strong preference for demonstrated reliability and consistency in prior roles, for skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care facilities. Experience with Healthcare billing systems, common working files, and familiarity with CMS regulations. Reliable systems experience highly preferred The ability to multi-task between projects, payer types, multiple FEINs, and month-end-close deadlines. Attention to detail and the ability to understand, problem solve, track, and clearly communicate issues related to aging, denials, and troubled or growing accounts. Able to communicate with confidence to executive leaders. A positive attitude and ability to work with business office managers. Strong computer and communication skills.
