Supply Chain and Production Manager
A leading distributor of food products, supplying high-quality, certified food to corporate accounts is looking to hire a Supply Chain and Production Manager to oversee operations and manage a team of employees across various shifts. The candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a variety of teams and functions, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products from procurement through production and delivery. You will oversee the entire supply chain and production operations, including scheduling, inventory control, vehicle maintenance, and production scheduling, with a strong focus on process optimization. Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and oversee a team of employees across multiple shifts, ensuring accountability, productivity, and high standards of performance. Manage daily scheduling and routing for timely deliveries and operations, ensuring that production and supply chain timelines are met. Oversee the maintenance and service schedules for the fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are operating efficiently and safely. Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock availability while minimizing excess, and manage stock replenishment processes. Supervise purchasing and sourcing of raw materials and products, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely procurement to meet demand. Collaborate with the R&D team to ensure production meets quality standards and product innovation aligns with business goals. Oversee production scheduling, ensuring timely execution of production plans and smooth operation of cold production areas. Manage the cold production processes, ensuring product safety and quality standards are met. Ensure that all supply chain and production processes are optimized, efficient, and aligned with company standards. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency. Ensure all activities comply with safety standards, quality control protocols, and regulatory requirements. Design and develop new recipes and menu concepts for various client needs, including corporate clients, event catering, and food service operations. Oversee the quality of all food products produced, ensuring consistency, taste, and presentation are of the highest standard. Manage and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and training in culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety protocols. Work closely with the procurement team to ensure effective inventory management, cost control, and minimize waste while maintaining high-quality standards. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal food safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and preparation procedures. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, customize menus, and ensure client satisfaction with food products. Work with suppliers and vendors to maintain a streamlined supply chain and ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients. Stay up to date on the latest culinary trends and food innovations to bring fresh and creative ideas to our offerings. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and meet company goals and objectives. Qualifications: Proven experience in supply chain management, production management, or a related field within the food distribution industry. A solid understanding of culinary operations, food production processes, and food safety standards is essential. Strong understanding of scheduling, inventory control, logistics, and cold production processes. Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience managing large teams across multiple shifts. Detail-oriented, organized, and process-driven with the ability to implement and improve systems. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly and effectively.
