Salary Range: 80-100K
Position Overview:
A large, mission-driven nonprofit serving children and families is seeking a highly dependable and intellectually sharp Executive Assistant to support its senior leadership team. This is not a front-facing or reactive role — it’s designed for someone serious, focused, and proactive who thrives in a back-office environment where follow-up, structure, and initiative are critical.
The Executive Assistant will manage communication, scheduling, document review, and project coordination with minimal oversight. This position demands a person who is driven, persistent, and comfortable reading manuals, drafting documentation, and ensuring that leadership remains on top of all priorities.
The Ideal Candidate:
Serious, focused, and reliable — not a “life of the party” personality
Strong reading comprehension — enjoys diving into detailed manuals and documents
Self-motivated and proactive — anticipates next steps, doesn’t wait for direction
Persistent and results-driven — follows through until tasks are completed
Excellent written communication — able to assist with proposals or internal memos
Organized and methodical — thrives on checklists, deadlines, and structured tasks
Discreet and trustworthy — handles confidential matters with maturity
Understands nonprofit/healthcare context — Orthodox community familiarity is a plus, not required
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain detailed executive calendars, meeting coordination, and travel logistics
Serve as the internal point of accountability, reminding executives to follow up and close open tasks
Draft, edit, and proofread proposals, letters, memos, and documentation
Read through and synthesize operational manuals and guidelines when needed
Track outstanding issues, follow-ups, and deadlines across departments
Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting materials
Support project management and implementation of leadership initiatives
Maintain well-organized digital files and systems
Liaise between leadership and internal teams as needed
Qualifications and Must-Haves:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and reading comprehension
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage priorities without micromanagement
