Position Overview
A wholesale manufacturer is seeking an exceptional Senior Inventory Strategy Manager to take full ownership of inventory planning across a multi-channel retail and eCommerce business.
This individual must have direct experience working with major retail partners (Costco, Walmart, big-box retail, wholesale accounts — not just Amazon) and understand retailer demand cycles, order timing, and replenishment expectations.
This role owns inventory completely ,open orders, forward-looking sales projections (30/60/90 days), forecasting accuracy, retail fulfillment readiness, and executive reporting. We need reliable data and insight we can make decisions on.
Non-Negotiable Qualifications
5+ years in retail inventory management, demand planning, or forecasting
MUST have worked directly with retail partners (Costco, Walmart, big-box retailers, wholesale accounts)
Experience managing retail order cycles, replenishment timing, and sell-through planning
Proven track record building and owning forecasting models
Advanced Excel mastery (pivot tables, complex formulas, forecasting & scenario modeling required)
Experience managing open POs and multi-channel inventory allocation
Strong reporting experience with executive-level visibility
Key Responsibilities
Own total inventory strategy across retail and eCommerce channels
Track and manage all open orders and inbound inventory
Ensure retail partners have product availability aligned with demand cycles
Forecast 30/60/90-day sales and align purchasing accordingly
Develop inventory analytic reports leadership can rely on
Monitor sell-through, velocity, and inventory turns by channel
Prevent stockouts and excess inventory through proactive planning
Provide accurate, data-driven forecasting and reporting to support business decisions
Maintain clear visibility into inventory health at all times
