Overview
A fast-growing manufacturer is seeking a high-level Production Planner who can think ahead, remove bottlenecks, and ensure production runs efficiently and on schedule.
This is not a basic scheduling role.
We are looking for someone who can forecast demand, balance capacity, solve problems proactively, and make sure every order is produced and shipped on time. You must be comfortable owning the production plan end-to-end and leading coordination across departments.

What You Will Own
Forecasting & Capacity Planning
• Develop and maintain weekly and monthly production schedules
• Align production capacity with sales forecasts and demand
• Evaluate labor, equipment, and material constraints
• Proactively identify risks before they impact delivery
Bottleneck Reduction & Execution
• Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks
• Balance workloads across departments
• Adjust schedules dynamically based on changing demand
• Ensure all orders are completed and shipped on time
Cross-Department Leadership
• Lead coordination between Production, Procurement, Inventory, and Logistics
• Communicate clearly with shop floor supervisors and line leaders
• Hold teams accountable to production timelines
• Ensure materials and components are available when needed
Data-Driven Planning
• Analyze production data, performance trends, and KPIs
• Implement continuous improvements in scheduling efficiency
• Track order flow, output rates, and delivery performance
• Maintain accurate documentation of schedules and changes
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Production Planner or Master Scheduler in manufacturing
• Strong forecasting and capacity planning skills
• Experience reducing bottlenecks and improving workflow efficiency
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Acumatica or similar preferred)
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred
• Experience in cabinetry, building products, or product-based manufacturing
• Experience working with international vendors or complex supply chains
