HR & Talent Operations Manager Brooklyn, NY 80-120K About Us We’re a fast-growing, values-driven organization seeking a hands-on, passionate HR & Talent Operations Manager to take ownership of recruiting, onboarding, and internal people operations. What You’ll Do You’ll be the go-to for all things people-related — from sourcing the right talent to setting the tone for our internal culture. This is not a siloed or administrative-only HR role. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, owns outcomes, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Full-cycle Recruiting: Own hiring from start to finish — job descriptions, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring across all departments. Onboarding & Culture: Design and implement meaningful onboarding experiences that reflect our values and drive employee buy-in. HR Operations: Oversee HR compliance, employee records, benefits coordination, and assist in shaping internal policies and procedures. People Development: Track employee performance, help develop training pathways, and support managers in coaching team members. Problem-Solving & Fire-Fighting: You’re the calm in the storm — able to handle the occasional “one emergency a day” with clarity and positivity. The Right Fit Has… HR experience, ideally with exposure to recruiting and internal people operations. Proven ability to take ownership and follow through — you don’t wait to be told what to do. Strong emotional intelligence , intuition about people, and a natural talent for building rapport. A positive, proactive attitude — focused on solutions, not blame. A track record of creating buy-in and engaging teams around shared goals. Experience in growing environments — bonus if you’ve worked with founders or execs closely.
