Controller – Healthcare Company Brooklyn, NY Full-Time | In-Office $150,000–$200,000 DOE A growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the finance department and ensure accurate, efficient financial operations. This role will work closely with the internal CFO and external CPAs, taking full ownership of day-to-day financial management and reporting. Key Responsibilities Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting functions Manage month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across all systems Supervise and support the finance team, ensuring processes run smoothly Identify and implement new systems, tools, and process improvements Handle financial escalations independently and provide solutions Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and compliance Negotiate with vendors and service providers as needed Qualifications Strong experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader Solid knowledge of financial reporting, payroll, AP/AR, and close processes Experience in the healthcare or medical field A Plus CPA preferred but not required Detail-oriented with a hands-on and problem-solving mindset Strong leadership and ability to manage and improve a finance department This is a key leadership role for someone with a creative, solutions-driven mindset who can take ownership of the finance function and help drive operational excellence.
