A growing commercial lending firm in Flatbush is seeking a Controller to oversee its commercial loan portfolio. This is a newly created role due to company growth. You will work closely and train in with current leadership and become the primary finance lead for the commercial division, while collaborating with the established residential team. Responsibilities Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Track profit and loss for individual loans Monitor loan origination, funding, servicing, and loan sales Record and analyze gain/loss on loan sales Track bad debt and loan performance Maintain accurate financial records and reporting Work closely with the CFO and finance team Assist with improving accounting processes as the company grows Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2 5+ years of accounting experience (in finance, lending, or real estate) and CPA preferred Understanding of financial reporting and loan accounting Ability to manage multiple financial workflows Detail-oriented and highly organized Strong Excel skills Experience with accounting software preferred (training will be provided) Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Short Friday hours About the Company The company originates and funds commercial loans and works with investors and servicing partners to manage its growing portfolio.
