Sales Manager
Job Description:
A wholesale distributor is seeking a hands-on Sales Manager to lead and support a team of sales
representatives in a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment. The ideal candidate will be a
dynamic leader with strong experience in sales strategy, goal setting, and in-the-field coaching.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being out with the team, budling relationships, and
driving performance.
Responsibilities:
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of salespeople to achieve and exceed sales targets
• Must be able to create SMART, profitable revenue goals and meet them
• Set clear goals, KPIs, and performance metrics for individuals and the team
• Accompany sales reps on customer visits to provide support, guidance, and real-time
feedback
• Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and
improvement
• Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and one-on-one coaching
• Collaborate with operations and purchasing to ensure alignment between sales and
inventory
• Help recruit, onboard, and train new sales representatives
• Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and assist with complex negotiations
when needed
Qualifications:
• Sales experience
• Proven experience managing or leading a sales team
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills
• Willingness to travel with the sales team throughout the assigned territory
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
• Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
Salary: $125+
