Accountant (Healthcare) Location: Valley Stream Full-Time-In Office Salary: $110k+ DOE Position Overview We are seeking an Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations within a healthcare organization. This role reports to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting processes, and assisting with budgeting and analysis. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update financial records, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Review and ensure accuracy of general ledger activity Perform bank and account reconciliations Support month-end close and assist with financial statement preparation and analysis Assist in preparing GAAP-compliant financial reports Contribute to quarterly forecasts and annual budgeting processes Manage and maintain the accounting system (ERP) Prepare documentation and support for tax filings (income and property tax) Qualifications 2–5 years of accounting experience (healthcare experience preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
