Position Overview A growing packaging, automation, and industrial solutions company is seeking a meticulous and proactive full-time Junior Buyer to support procurement operations and ensure timely sourcing and availability of products. This position entails working closely with suppliers, sales teams, and operations to maintain inventory, manage purchase orders, and support customer demand in the company's packaging automation equipment division. Responsibilities Create and manage purchase orders Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and order status Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment planning Coordinate with sales and operations to meet customer needs Resolve purchasing, delivery, and product issues Maintain accurate purchasing and vendor records Assist with supplier negotiations and relationship management Support logistics and shipment coordination Participate in process improvement initiatives Qualifications 1-3 years of purchasing, procurement, inventory, or administrative experience preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with ERP or purchasing systems is a plus Eagerness to learn and grow within a procurement career Compensation & Benefits $26-$33/hr (based on experience) Healthcare benefits & PTO Career growth and development opportunities About the Employer Our client is a well-established packaging and industrial solutions provider serving businesses throughout the Northeast.
