Meat Department Manager | Queens, NY $90,000 $150,000 About the Role A growing company is looking for a hands-on Meat Department Manager to run the day-to-day operations of its meat department. This role blends operational oversight with customer-facing work, from managing inventory and supervising a small team to fulfilling custom cuts for shoppers. Key Responsibilities Operations Oversee daily operations of the meat department Manage inventory levels and place product orders Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked, organized, and well-presented Supervise a team of 4 5 employees and coordinate daily workflow Maintain cleanliness, quality standards, and department organization Customer Service Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with product requests Prepare and fulfill custom meat cuts based on customer specifications Build positive relationships with customers and ensure a high-quality shopping experience Schedule Sunday Tuesday: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM Wednesday: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM Thursday: 9:00 AM 7:00 PM Friday: 9:00 AM 1:00 PM Qualifications Previous experience in a meat department or supermarket environment preferred Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Ability to manage inventory and oversee daily operations Hands-on, dependable, and proactive Interested?
