We are looking for a strong software engineer who enjoys debugging, investigating production issues, and figuring out why things went wrong. Our Support team handles customer questions and issues. When an issue requires deeper technical investigation, production access, a data correction, or a code fix, it gets escalated to this role. What You'll Do Investigate production issues escalated by our Support team Debug problems across application code, logs, APIs, background processes, and MySQL data Determine root cause and assess how urgent and widespread an issue is Prioritize multiple open issues based on impact and urgency, working closely with Support and Product Make controlled production database corrections when appropriate Develop and deploy smaller bug fixes and hotfixes For larger fixes or architectural changes, document the root cause and requirements clearly for the development team Follow issues through to completion, including verifying that fixes reach production and confirming that the problem does not recur Build a deep understanding of the entire ConnectBooks platform over time What We're Looking For Strong C# / .NET development experience Strong MySQL and SQL debugging skills Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability Comfortable investigating live production systems Able to work calmly while handling interruptions and changing priorities Strong ownership. You don't consider an issue finished just because a fix was written Naturally curious and methodical when debugging Able to understand complex systems and trace problems across multiple components Strong communication and documentation skills E-commerce or accounting software experience is a plus, but not required Most importantly, you should genuinely enjoy debugging and solving difficult production problems. This is not a customer support role. You will work closely with our Support and Product teams, but you will not normally interact directly with customers.
