Controller Location: Spring Valley, NY Compensation: $150,000 – $170,000 DOE A well-established nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all financial operations and provide strong fiscal leadership. This hands-on role will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, audits, compliance, payroll oversight, and maintaining strong internal controls. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations. Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and general ledger activities. Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports. Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, government regulations, and funding requirements. Coordinate audits, tax filings, Form 990 preparation, and financial reporting. Oversee payroll processes and internal financial controls. Partner with executive leadership on financial planning and organizational strategy. Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 7–10 years of accounting experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience. Strong nonprofit and fund accounting experience required. CPA preferred. Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
