Overview A growing healthcare company is seeking an experienced Director of Purchasing to build and lead procurement operations across a growing portfolio of healthcare facilities. This individual will be responsible for developing purchasing processes, managing vendor relationships, driving cost-saving initiatives, and ensuring efficient, compliant procurement practices across multiple locations. Location: Brooklyn, NY (Preferred) / Lakewood, NJ (Flexible) Responsibilities: Develop and implement purchasing processes and systems across multiple facilities Oversee procurement of dietary, medical, facility, and operational supplies Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and supplier performance Ensure compliance with healthcare purchasing regulations and company policies Standardize purchasing practices to improve efficiency and cost control Partner with operations and finance teams on budgeting, reporting, and forecasting Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve purchasing effectiveness Monitor inventory management practices across facilities Build and scale the purchasing function to support organizational growth Qualifications: Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management Healthcare, nursing home, or long-term care experience strongly preferred Knowledge of healthcare procurement regulations and compliance requirements Proven ability to build processes and systems in a growing organization Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Excellent organizational and analytical abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Collaborative leadership style with strong cross-functional communication skills Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience Opportunity to build and lead a growing purchasing function High-impact leadership role within a rapidly expanding organization Professional growth and advancement opportunities About the Employer: A growing healthcare organization operating multiple facilities and focused on building scalable, efficient systems to support continued expansion.
