Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Brooklyn, NY Schedule: Full-Time, In-Office Salary: $200,000+ DOE Position Overview A growing healthcare organization specializing in addiction recovery and behavioral health is seeking an experienced, hands-on CFO to oversee financial operations and work closely with ownership and operations to improve efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, detox, nursing homes, hospitals, skilled nursing, or another multi-site healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow, payroll, and banking. Lead the finance and accounting functions and ensure financial accuracy. Oversee billing, collections, AR/AP, and revenue cycle, including Medicaid and commercial insurance. Monitor denials, payer rates, contracts, and identify opportunities to improve collections and revenue. Analyze census, revenue, costs, and profitability by facility and program. Work with clinical, nursing, HR, and operations to manage staffing, overtime, pay rates, and labor costs. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency. Oversee tax filings, payroll taxes, entity structure, insurance, workers' comp, benefits, renewals, and audits across multiple states. Evaluate new facilities and growth opportunities, including reimbursement, census, staffing, startup costs, and overall economics. Provide ownership and senior leadership with clear financial and operational insights. Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance. Requirements Significant healthcare finance experience is a MUST. Experience with behavioral health, addiction treatment, detox, or multi-site healthcare strongly preferred. Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle, reimbursement, billing, and collections. Proven experience managing accounting and finance functions. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Hands-on, detail-oriented, cost-conscious, and operationally minded. Must be comfortable working Full-Time, In-Office in Brooklyn. CPA is a plus but not required. Ideal Candidate A hands-on healthcare CFO who understands not only the numbers, but what is driving them. Someone who can identify where the company is losing money, control costs, improve operations, and work directly with ownership and every department to increase efficiency and profitability.
